Frequently Asked Questions

  • An average-sized home can take 1 to 2 hours to clean depending on the amount of soil, stains, pet treatments, and overall setup. We schedule cleaning time based on the requested work and overall size of your home. If you need to add anything, please let us know in advance.

    • We provide our rates over the phone, but without an in-person evaluation, we cannot quote the exact cost. There are many factors that can affect the cleaning process, such as the level of soil, stains, pet urine or odor, and setup.

    • For an exact quote, you can request an in-home estimate without any obligation to clean.

    • A minimum charge applies to all cleanings. We do not provide free estimates for mold, biohazard, or emergency water services and are subject to a service call fee.

    • Drying time varies, but typically 4 to 8 hours, based on your home environment (humidity, heat, and air circulation), the cleaning method, carpet thickness, etc.

    • Pet treatments & heavy traffic may result in a longer dry time.

    • Furniture may be dry in 3 - 4 hours.

    • Fans are not always left on-site, but our technicians can use them if they determine it necessary. Availability may vary, as our fans are also used for water damage jobs.

  • You can walk on it immediately, however, we recommend you try and stay off the carpet as much as possible until dry. If you need to walk on it right away, wear clean rubber-soled shoes, and avoid allowing pets on it until dry (pets can cause the carpet to get dirty faster, but it is not harmful to you or your pets).

**Be careful not to slip when moving from a damp carpet to a hard surface. **

  • There is no fee to cancel before your appointment. However, for no-shows, or if the cleaning location is not ready or accessible during the window and we need to reschedule, you may be charged a minimum of $150+tax to cover the technician's time and travel.

  • Every home is lived in and cared for differently, year over year, so the cleaning price may vary from one visit to another. It could be due to the amount of furniture or placement in your rooms, a new pet, accidental spills, or wetter weather and mud got tracked in. We determine our rates based on the current condition of the carpet. Although our prices may increase, we strive to provide exceptional services at affordable rates.

  • Our current location does not have space to efficiently clean rugs. However, we can come to your home to clean them if there is sufficient space. We do offer limited chair cleaning services at our location, but requires scheduling an appointment in advance. Unfortunately, we cannot accept same-day drop-offs.

  • Yes! All of our cleaning products are safe for your family and pets. While all chemicals come with some caution, we are using them in accordance with their specifications. If you are sensitive to fragrances, we offer fragrance-free options. We do not use just water and we never reuse dirty water (yes, this has been asked a few times).

  • We generally clean all visible carpet in accessible areas, often called “traffic areas.” If you’d like us to move furniture, please let us know before we begin. This service comes with an additional fee.

In most homes, moving furniture isn’t necessary unless you rearrange it often—regular vacuuming under large pieces is usually sufficient. If possible, we encourage you to relocate smaller items yourself so we can thoroughly clean the exposed carpet.

For safety reasons, we are unable to move fragile or heavy items such as china cabinets, electronics, or pianos. Please remove any breakables from furniture you’d like us to move, and avoid stacking personal belongings on top of items.

For more details, please see our Terms of Service page.

  • Fabric protectors won’t prevent your carpet or upholstery from getting dirty but it can give you more time to address the spills.

The purpose of fabric protectors is to protect your carpet or upholstery from staining and prolong the life of the fabric, which they do very well if properly applied. Response time for getting a spill cleaned up to prevent staining is approximately 15 minutes with fabric protectors and less time without.

  • Yes! We use specific products and methods to treat pet urine and odors. While most issues can be handled with surface or deep treatments, severe cases may require pad or carpet replacement. Because pet odors can be stubborn, complete removal isn’t guaranteed, but we’ll recommend the best solution for your home.

  • If you have or had pets, we may inspect your carpet with a UV (black) light and moisture sensor to locate urine. Many pet owners are surprised by how much is revealed under the light. Knowing about pets helps us prepare for cleaning and avoid surprises for you and our technicians. For non-urine odor concerns, we may skip the black light, as the entire carpet often needs treatment regardless.
